The majority of the historical material presented on this Web site would not have been available in a central location without the hard work, research and foresight of the Washington Township Historical Committee. In 1990, in celebration of the Township's Sesquicentennial, they gathered and published an array of wonderful pictures, anecdotes and memories under the title "CONTINUING THE VISION -- PRESERVING THE VALUES". That book has been the main source for the Township history presented here. The beautiful cover of the book and the names of the contributors are reproduced below.
